Amazing dinner. Shrimp and grits is a must. The Shrimp Fritters appetizer is a must as well. Service was excellent. Highly recommend Tortugas.
First visit for lunch. Wife and I had lunch specials Very good.
Friday Night (5-11-12). My wife and along with some friends dined here this Friday night. This was my first visit and we are sure it will not be the last. The resturant is well maintained and the food is super. The menu is diverse, as such there is something for everyone all at reasonable prices. From meat loaf, to blacken tuna, to Shrimp n Grits, everyone thought they had made the best selection. The owners are the cooks and servers, a combination that assures you that the level of service will have you returning.
Have eaten many fabulous meals, for breakfast, lunch and dinner. The staff is warm and remembers you if you are a repeat customer. Craig, the owner blends the most amazing combinations, even if it something as simple as shrimp & grits, or a pork loin. One of my top five favorite places!!
Bad food at Tortugas. This $18.00 meal was terrible. the Caesar salad was iceberg cut by knife in ribbons and the croutons were seasoned heavily with oregano…not even Close to a Caesar salad. I had grilled chicken pasta….bad pressed chicken breast loaf and un-rinsed pasta that was sticky, pasty, with no kind of attempt at a flavorful sauce or garlic oil flavor…terrible and for the price even worse. We will never go back and hope no one else wastes their money on a meal at this bad eatery. there is so much good food inSavannah this is a shame.
A plus. Always ask about the special; the food is all cooked by the owner who flat out cooks; if u r not happy tell them you were not happy and they should gladly take care of you and make sure you are; that is customer service and they have it there; all there food is great; order what u like and it will be excellent; the chicken sandwiches are ridiculous and so is the seafood;
The food was yummy and unique. We enjoyed our meal very much! The restaurant is in a nice location and has a comfortable atmosphere. The only downside is that it’s a teensy bit pricey.
