Foodies will love this!. I was reading some of the prior comments and HAD to go ahead with a review (not my usual bag). My husband and I are foodies and just LOVE Sprig. We have no limitations on the menu (not vegetarians, not lactose intolerant, etc) and find this menu just fantastic. It’s a great atmosphere of local fun folks and a perfect fit for Decatur (i.e. not TOO fancy, but not TOO casual). Love the farm to table and dedication of owners to our community. Thanks Sprig! (I usually get Trout and Grits…and the Green Beans are the BEST!!, hubby gets many items including Meat Loaf) We love the seasonally adjusted menu as well 🙂
Tried two apps: Pimento cheese/bacon jam and trout dip with house made chips. Both were excellent.
Not worth the $$$, food is ok, it’s not bad but not really yummy either. Service was fine. But the chef seem to get crazy creative and take the dishes to Xanadu at times, it was obnoxious at times. The portions are small. I had a full dinner & left unsatisfied & $75 poorer.
I wanted to love it… but didn’t. I wanted to try Sprig for a while because it is right around the corner from where I grew up, and I’m planning on moving back to the area soon. I decided to stop in one day for lunch, and I was really looking forward to it. I love the concept and the decor, but found the food lacking. I am vegetarian and lactose-intolerant, so I expect that any menu will only have a limited number of options for me. I chose the vegetable plate and figured that, for the price of their lunch vegetable plate, it should be good, or at least original. There were only a few options of the vegetables that did not contain meat or butter, so I went with those. I did enjoy the baked beans – they were good, even if they were not the best I’ve ever had. The other vegetables that I had, however, were rather tasteless and boring – to the degree that I wondered if there was anything with the spinach aside from water. The cornbread was alright, but dry. I took home my leftovers for my sister to try to see if she concurred, and we ended up throwing them out because neither of us even wanted to finish them. We both agreed that we make much more flavorful and fresh vegetables for a fraction of the cost. In addition, the service was mediocre. There were only a few tables filled when I was there for lunch, but even still, my waitress only stopped by the table once, and I sat around and waited for my bill. $9 (plus tip) for 3 vegetables that I didn’t even want to finish? No thank you. I wish that I enjoyed Sprig more because it is in an area that I love, but I doubt that I will be back.
So freaking cute! Food is fresh and light. The atmosphere- Vintage, traditional, with a splash of modern touch! I’ll def go back. The Turkey panini was awesome.
Way exceeded my expectations. Had the duck breast and my son had the salmon. Both dishes were as good as any I have had anywhere in ATL. Give this little restaurant a chance, I don’t think you will be disappointed.
This is, by far, one of my favorite restaurants in all of Atlanta. Creative menu, fantastic drinks (!!) and great service. Wyatt is my favorite server!!
