Pretty Good. They serve only baby back ribs, my personal favorite. It was pretty good and reasonably priced. I didn’t really like the house sauce so I will try a different sauce the next time I go. It’s not screaming crazy good BBQ, but it was good and worth a stop when in the area and want ribs. I didn’t try any sides because I was only interested in critiquing the ribs. The staff is friendly and the place is clean with plenty of space inside and outside. It’s worth a try if you’re in the area and have a taste for ribs.

Pretty good. The pork was a little stringy, but flavorful. Fries, slaw, beans were average, and the potato salad was excellent. The sauces were varied and good. Service was exceptional. The live band on Saturday nights is deafening. Don’t go Saturday nights if you plan to converse. It can’t happen.

As one of the previous reviewers mentioned, it was extremely bland. I got the 1/4 chicken, wings and collard greens. No salt, pepper or anything, just smoked. Even the piece of toast tasted bland. No body or depth to the BBQ sauce. Also, all of their sides have pork including the mac n cheese. I sincerely hope they are reading reviews and make some improvements.

The Fine Taste of Southern BBQ with Warm Southern Hospitality. I am a native New Yorker staying in the Atlanta area for a few months. I have had my share of good and bad experiences in the South, but finding The Greater Good BBQ has to top the list of positive experiences.I have eaten at the GGBBQ in the neighborhood of 15 to 20 times, which I think makes me one of the few patrons of the restaurant who has spent considerable time and experienced the restaurant at all hours of the day and night. I chose to write this review because this is one of the few restaurants that goes the extra yard and deserved a very positive review. The food is excellent. The pulled pork is very tasty, the Carolina Pork at a whole ‘nother level. I can only imagine the amount of time it takes to bring the meat to that sumptuous flavor. My mouth is watering whenever I hear Carolina these days….go Tar Heels! The Brisket Chili has a nice kick to it and in absolutely delicious, I may not know much about Southern Cooking, but I do know chili, and this is some of the best I have ever had. I told Scott, the GM, that it could win a chili cook-off, hands down. The French Fries (as an Irishman, something else I know a lot about) as freshly cut and the best fries I have had in Georgia. The Brunswick Stew may be the best item on the menu. I had it 3 consecutive days at one point, which is a first for me. Don’t let your kids try the Mac n’ Cheese, because if you do, they will be wanting to come back again and again. The baked beans and collard greens have a really nice taste, making a bland side something I look forward to. But one comment I would like to make is the professional and cordial demeanor that the entire staff carries themselves with. The restaurant is run like a tight ship, but one where the atmosphere is relaxed and fun too. This isn’t Corporate America, and for me it is nice to give my business to someone besides a Fortune 500 Parent Company. The restaurant is kept absolutely spotless, from the dining room tables and floor to the restrooms. The staff is cordial and capable, serving promptly with a smile. There have been no exceptions nor have I had a single bad experience. One of the server’s, Sam, has been exemplary when waiting on me and always goes out of her way to ask how my stay is going and how I am doing and see to it that my dining experience is a little warmer. The restaurant should be commended for vetting a staff that not only does their job with pride and respect, but goes out of their way to take care of their patrons with genuine Southern Hospitality.

The pulled pork was really good… not the best I’ve ever had, a little dry, but I would still go there again. Our server was great. We changed our minds a million times and he was eager to make whatever crazy request we wanted happen.
