Have been there twice since I came into town. Both times it was great. The chef was funny and did a couple things I had not seen at a Japanese steakhouse. The first night, the service was slow, but the conversation with the other group of pearl made up for it.
Aligatou is the best and original place to get Japanese food in Valdosta. I’ve been going there for years and it is always amazing. If you want it to be extra great ask for the cook Dema he is definatly one of the best cooks in Valdosta.
Never again. This place is a joke. The waitress didn’t know what an ingredient was in a sushi roll, then said they didn’t even serve the roll with that ingredient. Well, shouldn’t you update your menu? The prices are way too high, the broth soup is horrible, and the hibachi show is mediocre. I will definitely not go back.
BEST. This was the original japanese steakhouse in town, and they’re the best. friendly service, good food (especially the hibachi) and good atmosphere.
WOW!. I like all the Japanese restaurants in town, but this is at the top! I could eat just the rice, it is so good. I don’t know what they do, but it is awesome. I prefer the filet mignon on the hibachi grill. Fun, reliable host and chef. Reasonable prices. Best Japanese food I have eaten anywhere in the South.
My boyfriend and I loved this restaura nt. We went on a Sunday night and it Was pretty empty but we were treated So well! The sushi was amazing the chef Even made his own creative rolls. It was Great!!
My husband & I ate here for dinner on a Sunday night. The restaurant has a B rating by the entrance. I got miso soup, Ginger salad & two orders of sushi. I didn’t like ANY of it AT ALL. It wasn’t cheap, & I feel like I was tricked out of my money. Salad was extremely salty. Miso soup was really dark- I’m used to a lighter broth. Sushi looked soggy & the crunch roll was not crunchy. But- My hub had the habachi chicken & liked it.
