Lunch Sunday afternoon. Was one of the most poor experiences we’ve ever had at this Cheddar’s. I guess Ashley (mgr) and Keith (waiter) need to be there all the time to make sure my wife’s white fish meal (with light to NO seasoning) is interpreted correctly. The two waiter’s that we had wrote down exactly what we said twice and not one time was it followed. After three times of it being cooked wrong is unacceptable! To make matters worse, the lady in the green shirt gave a bunch of excuses as to why it didn’t happen, i.e., the seasoning is really strong and it is difficult to lightly season the fish, the GM went back to the kitchen to oversee the process, to do you want me to cook the fish with no seasoning and bring it in a little cup on the side (Not!). Utterly ridiculous! To top that off no apology or explanation or visit from the GM ever happened. Bad business! I would never leave a consistent weekly customer dissatisfied, not from a management stand point. Word of mouth to other people goes a long way. My wife had to take a spoon and scrape off the most of the seasonings after the third time to eat her fish. The lady in the green shirt asked if we wanted another piece cooked and my wife said why, all the sides were eaten waiting it to be cooked the 2nd and 3rd times. By the way, this is the only dish my wife get’s at Cheddar’s and it has been done perfectly almost everytime so don’t offer me any reasons why it can because it’s been done many time before.
We love Cheddars in Valdosta. We have eaten there many times and will continue to. The food is always delicious and service always excellent.
Best in Valdosta. Period.. We live in Valdosta. We frequent restaurants on a weekly basis all over S. Ga and the beaches in Florida. Yes, Cheddar’s is a chain and not in the running for a Michelin star. But if you want consistent good food at a descant price with service and smile, this is your place. We have eaten here probably 20 times. We have only had about 2 bad experiences. One with a bartender who was not there when we returned. She was rude. Actually hateful. She had friends at the bar she was paying more attention to than the other 15 who sat at her bar on a Friday night. Then when my dinner date called her out…..she rolled her eyes. Her friends then involved themselves and told him to leave her alone. The other bad experience the manager took care of personally. He compd. my meal completely. We visited again last night. Jordan was a brilliant server. Although I do not prefer to see my server sitting at a table with his buddies, he still earned our thumbs up. He asked the chef to remake my fish tacos which seemed to have been sitting for a while at the lamps. But it was taken care of with no questions asked. And quickly at that. Great service. Thanks Jordan. And chef. We mostly sit at the bar b/c the food is consistently great. And of course you are more attended to. But we will continue to frequent Cheddar’s b/c it is just a great atmosphere with good music, good food and service.
I ordered dinner to go, and I was honestly excited. Prices are reasonable, menu selection seemed great! Then when I got back to the hotel, I was horribly disappointed. We asked for extra sour cream and Alfredo sauce for my pasta, and didn’t get it. My Mom’s Philly cheese steak sandwich had nothing but meat and cheese on a cold bun. My chicken Alfredo was pretty bland… I’ve always heard decent things about cheddar’s but this one was nothing but disappointment.
Fried, then Double Fried. If you like fried stuff, this is your place. If you like real food that has a taste, steer clear. The waitresses are as sharp as a bowling ball.
Just left, & I am so disappointed, we were there for 40 minutes before we ever got our food. Cheddars has always been prompt & I am amazed this was even a problem. The worst part about it they were not even busy.I saw 3 tables get their food before us and they were all seated after my big party of 2.
People, if you think this is good food, check the food scores in Valdosta, you’re better off eating out of a can. The place is filthy and food is the same food delivered to lunchrooms.
