  Excellent Donuts. Dixie Cream continues to be a local favorite, with quick service and wide variety of tasty donuts and pastries. Each day, a ‘donut of the day’ is featured (cake variety) – strawberry, blueberry, orange marmalade, and chocolate. They offer filled donuts, coconut and chocolate coated donuts, donuts with sprinkles, cinnamon rolls, and who knows what else. Sometimes, they also offer speciality pastries like cream cheese danish, and pumpkin bread (which isn’t made in house, but is locally made). Their hours are 5:30 AM – 2 PM. If you go too early, you risk only have a limited variety to select from because their full menu hasn’t been cut and fried, yet. If you go too late in the day, then you also run a risk of getting the leftovers – don’t expect much aside from three or four types of donuts leftover. Suggestion: go around 7 or 8 AM.02 Oct, 2010Miss it!. I have been removed from the Valdosta area for quite some time, but I certainly miss the Dixie Cream Donut Shop. I have fond memories of visiting the shop on early mornings and scarfing down warm donuts! Yum!

  Dixie Cream. Great warm yeast donuts in the early morning. The glazed donuts are great. The daily special is usually blueberry cake donuts and they are great as well. I prefer the cake-donut varieties they have. Even their plain cake donuts are great. Fresh and simply delicious! The only problem is they close early!
