Good Chinese Buffet. I like Royal buffet because they’re not expensive and they allow me to get my chinese buffet fix. The staff is very nice ( they love my daughter) and the food is good with a nice variety of appetizers and main courses. My two wishes are that they expand their main dishes a little bit and they have sushi readily available instead of by order. I’ll be honest, I’ve never tried their wok service and I’ve never requested sushi. Cleanliness has not been an issue as far as I’ve seen compared to other chinese buffets.

I agree with the reviews on the sushi chefs. this is the Chinese buffet I prefer, however, the sushi chefs are always rude with a scowl on their faces. one was even rude to my 5 year old daughter when she ordered a baby roll. if it wasn’t for the value and quality of food as far as a buffet goes I would not only avoid this place simply because of the attitude but I would show them what rude is!
Royally Terrible. This is one of the most awful Chinese buffets I’ve had the unfortunate experience of visiting. Even during peak hours, the food appeared old, and most of the offerings were cold. Moreover, the food just sucked. Even if the food had been fresh, the food wasn’t especially tasty. Too syrupy, too sweet, nothing fresh-looking, not a lot of veggie dishes – it was just an odd buffet. I thought I had the good fortune of coming across fresh egg rolls – and they were, fresh from the grease. The problem with this, is they were fried at the incorrect temperature, which meant that they retained so much grease that they were absolutely inedible. The gents assisting at the sushi bar and hibachi bar weren’t the most pleasant, but I can deal with that. The waitress was nice and friendly, she picked-up plates promptly, and tried to make conversation – it wasn’t off-putting, but could have been for some individuals, I suppose.
Disappointed. My family has been to this restaurant on a couple of occasions and while the servers are always courteour the sushi chef has always had a resentful attitude when he has to prepare sushi. After I stand at the sushi bar and wait ten minutes for him to come out after atleast 2 or three servers go to the back to tell him he has a customer he takes his time to come out and glares at me the entire. They also just changed their sushi policy you are only allowed two sushi rolls per buffet. I didn’t know this and when I asked for another roll without even looking up he yelled no at me. When I asked why he rolled his eyes and muttered something under his breath then walked to where the sushi list was flips it over which revealed the new rule and walked away. My family won’t be returning to this establishment. The Chinese restaurant downtown (Chi Town) is worth the extra drive.

Reliable. Like most Chinese buffets, you know what you’re going to get. This is no exception, though it does have very nice variety and a fair amout of seafood, if that’s your thing. For lunch, it cost me less than $7 (not including tip).
