I was with a party of 15 to 20 people that came in to enjoy a Starbucks drink, 10 mins before the closing time of 10:30 pm. After we all got our drinks and sat down, we were asked to leave the store because it was closing time and were told we would have to move to the outside tables, even though it was pouring rain! The employee said it was ‘company policy’.As an owner of my own business, I understand that at the closing time, you don’t want to have to continue making more drinks after store closing time, and need to start cleaning equipment, closing down machines, batching out the POS system etc. But asking patrons to leave the lobby area while the behind-the-counter cleaning process is taking place, is a VERY pour business practice and rude way to treat your customers!
