Really great place to try something new. Obviously the restaurant plays off its rustic southern charm but does so while offering higher-end food. Somewhat consistent, although can be hit or miss sometimes since they are adventurous with the menu. Would recommend the duck confit appetizer and the grilled ceasar salad.
One of our favorites. My wife and I love Steel Magnolias. We went last night and the service was friendly and quick, the food was terrific and we love the atmosphere. We got the bruschetta appetizer, she got the eggplant dish, and I ordered the duck. Everything was fantastic! And the plate sizes are perfect, not to big, but not lacking either. For dessert we got the chocolate peanut butter pie and I thought I was in heaven. Yes it’s a little pricier than say Applebee’s, but it’s absolutely worth it. Especially for us when we get so few date nights away from the kids where we can go someplace nicer. Main dishes run between 15 and 28 dollars, appetizers were up to $8. This is the perfect treat for a nice night out.
Old south charm meets trendy culinary options. Menu offers updated southern classics. Food was tasty…some items better than others. Chef special halibut was fabulous as was the shrimp and grits. The double cut pork chop was good for me but not for the others in the group that ordered it. We had a large group and received good service. Prices were moderate to pricey depending on the item. I recommend the poached pear salad or the tomato soup as a starter. The flatbread appetizer was wonderful. I’d go back when I wanted a date night.
Excellent. That’s all I’m going to say
Do not miss! Everything w…. Do not miss!Everything was great: salads, mussels, chocolate dessertI’m not usually head over heels about mussels, but these were outstanding. I sipped up every bit of broth with the bread.
Consistently one of the best in Val Vegas. A must on the short list
