The food was excellent- pro the best chicken vindaloo I’ve ever had. There was a single mad working – cook waiter everything. The dining room was empty but the food came fast and was delicious.
Outstanding food, but not worth the poor service and atmosphere.. I first went to Tandoor in August 2014, before it was even officially open. The place was still a work in progress, with the owner using one of the dining tables as a makeshift office, but that was understandable. It was completely empty, but in time two more dining parties came in as well. Taking a chance after just wandering in, my husband and I ordered lunch (the buffet was not available yet). It was a fairly long wait for the food, but it was all outstanding. The dosa was incredible, and the other dishes we ordered were delicious and pleasantly spicy. It was a great lunch.I waited for news of a grand opening, but never heard anything. In December, my husband and I stopped by again and just as before, the place was deserted. We waited several minutes and the owner finally appeared and seated us. The restaurant was freezing, but knowing the food we decided to stay. We ordered the same items (still no lunch buffet), and, again, after a very long and cold wait, the food arrived. This time, however, it was not nearly as good, with the exception of the dosa. We were told there was a new chef. We left disappointed and cold.Figuring the restaurant probably just needed more time to work out the kinks and generate a regular crowd, we waited until May (2015) to try again, but decided to skip the empty dining area and slow service and order dinner for take out. My husband was a bit surprised to be informed afer placing the order that it would be ready in 40-50 minutes, but we did place a large order so we shrugged it off. My husband arrived 40 minutes later and got a bad feeling when he saw the GoWaiter (now CitySpree) driver there waiting as well. It looked like he had been here for a while….and he was reading a book, clearly prepared for the wait he must be used to. There were only two occupied tables in the restaurant. My husband was informed that it would actually be another 30 minutes for our food. The kitchen had not even started cooking our order, so we knew that 30 minutes would probably turn into 45-60 more. He cancelled the order and we got take out elsewhere, which, by the way, was ready in 20 minutes. It is a shame that they have not gotten their act together after 9 months. I don’t believe we will ever be back to Tandoor.
Very good. The food was excellent and the owner was very helpful in explaining the dishes. Highly recommended

Great New Restaurant!. Amazing Indian Food! Great Service from Owner. Chicken Curry and Garlic Naan was Great. Can’t wait to go back!
Indian treat in Valdosta. Possibly the best restaurant in town! As a vegetarian, this was a welcome treat after a long drive! Walking distance from the hotel made it even better!
