Local Coffee Roaster!. Ok, for those moving into the area you need to know you do not have to go to Publix or Starbucks to find good fresh coffee. I am not from here and got use to going to places in NC and Atlanta that had fresh (within 2 weeks) roasted coffee. For a while i made do with getting vacuumed sealed Starbucks and other brands at the grocery stores. But once I found The Beanery that has stopped. The Beanery has it’s on coffee roaster on site and they cook up fresh beans every week. Wide selection of coffees and unique blends for sale. I love the dark roasted ones but they have all kinds. The main focus seems to be on roasting and not really trying for the coffee shop experience. You can by a pound (or five) and a cup of coffee but they are not really going for the single drink/cup market. Only opened during the week. They do sell to a lot of the restaurants in town so if you have had a really good cup in a good restaurant you probably have had this coffee and did not know it. Excellent fresh coffee. We are lucky to have this in Valdosta.
