Fantastic!. Gabe’s is by far one of the best restaurants in which I have ever dined. The chefs are unbelievably talented, the wait staff is incredibly professional and friendly, and the food will absolutely blow your mind! The atmosphere is comfortable and casual but still remains a fine-dining experience. The interior of the restaurant itself has a gorgeous rustic southern charm with the perfect touch of fine-dining that you would expect from a very nice restaurant, without being stuffy and uncomfortable. The wait staff were all extremely friendly, really know their job, and clearly take it seriously. And the food– the food was absolutely magnificent! We went with a large group last time (which was accommodated very easily) and split appetizers and desserts. The fried green tomatoes were absolutely perfect, unique but still the Southern classic. The shrimp and grits were like none that I’ve ever had, even better than from seafood towns or New Orleans themselves. And the desserts: we all passed around a few desserts to tase, but the pot de creme was the best I’ve ever had– I honestly didn’t want to share! As a baker myself, I was beyond impressed with it, as well as all of the desserts I’ve tried here since. 5 stars and beyond!
After just one visit, I’ve decided Gabe’s is one of the finest restaurants in which I’ve ever dined. Our party of 6 had lunch and everyone loved it. We started with a crab cake appetizer…it was unbelievable. Mouthwatering flavors…it just melted in my mouth. My entree was the chicken prosciutto pasta. Steaming hot pasta with a sweet creamy corn bisque sauce, and crispy Panko breaded juicy chicken. Delicious. Dessert – we tried both dark chocolate coffee cheesecake and the white chocolate bread pudding – both were awesome. We recently vacationed in New Orleans, and I truly enjoyed this restaurant more than any we tried there. More positives: excellent waiter/service, delicious complimentary bread, and something more restaurants should strive for – clean, elegant bathrooms. I look forward to my next visit to Gabe’s. If I had to describe Gabe’s with one word…perfection.
You Cant Go Wrong With Gabes. The wife and I like to cook and enjoy good food. I travel the U.S and some parts of the world for work and still rank Gabes very highly amongst other establishments. If you live around the area dont waste a trip to Atlanta for really good food, just head over to Gabes. We have not had a single item off the menu yet that we did not enjoy and we have been there at least 2-3 dozen times. The service is always top notch even when the place is packed (it usually is). Additionally, I would like to mention that they are far more than just a Cajun Bistro that the majority think they are without ever going in and finding out. Top notch work…Respectfully,The Riley’s
Good location – although parking is a little difficult – but service was very good- I had the shrimp and grits- I wish I had a pic but comes in large bowl – great presentation – good flavor – good lunch- little pricy for lunch but a nice treat –
Wow…. Step into an interesting, cool place, with nice decor, be welcomed by friendly staff, be seated promptly, have your order taken just when ready, some tasty hot bread delivered while munching on your appetizer (crab cake), and then savor the delicous entry (crab stuffed catfish, on bed of sweet potatos, covered with tasty crunchy sweet pan fried spinach) that is awesomely prepared. For a weary traveler, and even though they are going through some remodeling pains, the excellent food and the great staff will help you feel almost human. For sure a place to visit again.
The best food ever! So good we went two days on a row. My husband ordered the pecan crusted catfish both times. Crystal was our server and she was excellent. Would highly recommend this place to everyone.
5 Stars All Around. This is hands down my favorite place to eat in the state of Georgia. Everything that I have tasted has been beyond amazing. It might take a while to get a seat but once you do the service is great and the food is worth every second. GO!
