Quick and nice lunch in the vinings area, look no further. Excellent tacos and enchiladas. Fresh and mouth watering. Their home made salsa, chips and guacamole (they have different varieties but I like the original) is awesome. They are very generous when you box things and let your have extra portions of salsa. I really like this place which has had a name change in recent past (from La Paz) but thankfully the food quality has remained intact.
Holy Mole-y. This place is the bomb dot com. Husband and I got out of the gym pretty late and I just didn’t feel like cooking. We decided to drive around and see what piqued our interest. We drove by the front of Guaco Jo’s and wanted to try it out. We are SO glad we did. It’s now one of our favorite restaurants. As mentioned in other reviews, I am a severe taco snob. This place definitely delivers when it comes to their tacos. They have twists on traditional pairings and the different flavors just work. My favorite one was the Adobo Pork Belly taco. It was truly mouthwatering. Then their drinks are so good!!! And reasonably priced too. I don’t remember which beer but you get 16 ounces for $4-ish and a great martini for $5. The hubby absolutely loved their Texas Margarita too. The decor/atmosphere is relaxed but neat at the same time. Gotta love the Jesus candles in the middle of the room; they definitely provided some humor. Our waiter was Carlton and he was an amazing server. He checked up on us several times during the meal and was very friendly. He made great taco suggestions too. We absolutely loved our experience here and recommend Guaco Jo’s to everybody!
Enjoyed a girls night …then came back for brunch with family. Thursday night had great time with 5 girlfriends. $3 Dos Equis (ice cold!!) and server allowed us plenty of time to socialize over dinner. Split the checks & didn’t mess it up!! Food was enjoyable. Queso fundido was yummy!! Back today for brunch with family. TVs allow for March Madness viewing. Staff attentive & food tasty. Nice versatile restaurant for a variety of different needs. Will be back.
Way over priced for what you get and service is disappointing. I have been 3 times now since the name change and it does not seem like this will be a good change for the customer. Not sure what the story is behind the transition and the new owners but it has not gone well, yet. Hopefully they can improved.
Terrible change. This used to be la Paz and it was a great restaurant. Now I go into this place and get this nasty plate of beans. I also had the waiter talk to me about their surgery. The food was lacking spices in a huge way and the meal was overall disappointing. Way over priced for the quality & quantity of the food.
