Oysters were nice and fresh. Mignonette sauce was nice. Seafood chowder was loaded with shrimp, fish, mussels in a red base. Very happy and better than I expected.
Sounds like they’ve been open for 6 months or so. Very nice folks and nice bright space with a little bit of outside seating. I decided on a favorite of mine, an oyster poboy and took the choice of salad as a side. Everything was good, but not stellar. Salad was pre-dressed with a bit too much dressing for my tastes. The poboy was, as I said, good, but didn’t have the big juicy oysters I was hoping for and suffered from the not uncommon fate of being more bread and lettuce than anything else. Will say that the remoulade sauce on the side had a nice flavor and a little punch. Also kudos for a very cold frosty glass for my beer. I will certainly go back and hope I simply was there on a less than great day for oysters (which is totally possible).
I was impressed. Food was fresh and inexpensive. Will definitely be back.
Finally. A great seafood place in west Atlanta. Third times a charm in a space occupied by two failures. Small and great decor. Beautiful bar. Service a bit slow but we were in no hurry. Nice wine selection. For appetizer we had a dozen oysters. Fresh and cold. Nice cocktail sauce and hogwash included. I had the seafood linguine and my wife had the fried shrimp with the addition of a fried lobster tail. The linguine was nicely done Al dente with 4 plump scallops and fresh shrimp with mussels. Wife enjoys the shrimp and fries but the lobster was tad over done. I did order the she crab soup however it came with the dinner and I refused it. They waiter kindly comped it. It was flavorful but too salty. We will be back. All in all a pleasant experience.
