Friendly staff, decent food. Cravings for this restaurant will not send you out in a snow storm in bare feet to get a signature dish, but the food is good enough and the people who run the place are friendly and seem to care that you are satisfied. As someone who has encountered groups of 20 at restaurants, I am not surprised that they were put out by a party of 20. The restaurant is really not built for that kind of event and it is rude to everyone else to seat such a large group. One wonders if they had a reservation or just decided to drop by and wreak havoc on the staff.
Couldn’t even SEAT a reservation of 20.. Never going back! Made a reservation for a party of 20, agreed to split our group to be seated faster, the entire group waited for 20 minutes before we couldn’t take it anymore and we had to go elsewhere–and by elsewhere I mean the entire party split up at the last minute just to grab a bite before we convened at the after party…The real issue is that the hostess was rude to me in front of my family, friends, and coworkers as I patiently waited, cordially requested a time frame, and then apologetically withdrew my 20-guest reservation and left. You would think an established restaurant would want to at least SEAT the 20 person party before treating them like trash; but Fatz likes to get RIGHT TO THE POINT. Thanks for the most embarrassing moment of my life, Fatz of Warner Robins. I won’t forget you.
Yum. The shrimp and grits are the bomb!!!!
I ordered the prime rib, and it was awful. I hate to say this because our waiter was so cool, but my meal was way below what should be the standard. The prime rib tasted like it was microwaved, not roasted. The mashed potatoes tasted bland and lumpy in a bad way. The only good point was the drinks. I have worked in the industry for many years, so I have never been quick to complain, but this food was bad enough to warrant a warning to others.
Best Restaurant Ever. My cousins used to rave about this place. I never believed them until I visited Fatz myself recently. Ridiculously good food. I’ve been twice and I haven’t had an entree or sample or side that wasn’t the BEST entree, sample or side that I had ever had. The service was above and beyond both times, and the prices are totally reasonable for the quality of the food. I would eat here every meal if it weren’t 30 minutes away. TRY the Calabash Chicken, and the rolls they are both amazing. My favorite restaurant!
I see the name’s source…. The bread! If I frequented FATZ, I would definitely put on the weight. The bread is so…edible, sweet and deep fried. The meals we had were good. The waitress was charming and helpful. The atmosphere was nice. The bathroom was clean. However, the peach cobbler was a bit tasteless. Did I mention the sinful tasty bread?
Great. I’ve only been twice but the service and the food was excellent both times. One reviewer commented about not having T.V.s … I’m happy they don’t (just a personal preference) (-:
