Nice home town sandwich shop. The food is always great however I do feel the price is high for what you get and the menu is small. The restaurant is small too but that doesn’t seem to slow them down. There is always a line out the door and I see someone I know every time I go there which is what I love about a hometown lunch hot spot!
Collard Green Soup. A time consuming dish to prepare, you can tell the hard work that went into making this soup. It is a great compliment to any sandwich. Give it a try on your next visit when you see it on the menu (as they rotate their soups).
Tried their Collard Green Soup for the first time today and loved it! Def recommend!22 Apr, 2011The desserts are reason enough to go!!! The Pina Colada Cake is perfectly moist and wonderful every time! You can purchase their homemade cakes by the slice or whole.
Great place, but -. I wish they were more consistent with their operating hours. There were times I went there and they were already closed for the day.
Soup and Sandwiches. McCall’s is a nice little hometown eatery that specializes in homemade soups and sandwiches. While the food is good, the prices are a bit high for what you get. The atmosphere is bland, not much of one actually. You totally feel rushed to get in and out so that someone else can get your seat, since there aren’t very many in this tiny room. It’s an ok place to grab a lunch, even if you have to wait a bit for your order. They are only open for lunch during the week. If you’ve got the luxury of time and can wait, this is a nice place to get an average to above average sandwich.
