Great little country kitchen! The whole menu is amazing and highly recommend. Staff is great and the tea is sweet! Chicken breast, mashed potatoes, and Mac n cheese are my favorite combination and am getting hungry just thinking about it. Breakfast here is also solid.
60 Years!!!. I had lunch at Parker’s last week and had an opportunity to chat with Edna Parker, who purchased this property when she was eighteen years old to begin her own restaurant. She told me she had wanted a restaurant since she was a child growing up during WWII. Well, she got it , and it has been thriving ever since it opened in 1953. That’s right. This establishment is going to celebrate its 60th anniversary in August. This makes it one of the oldest restaurants in Dalton, and one of the few meat-&-threes still in the area. It’s nice to see locally owned businesses full of faithful customers on a daily basis. Some of these people have been eating here their entire life. Edna told me some nice stories from yesteryear, and it was so nice to hear someone happily reminisce about days gone by. Happy Anniversary, Parker’s.Now for the Gula report:Atmosphere: This is your simple dine-in restaurant. Not many bells and whistles, but there are pictures on the wall reflecting a local interest. 2.5 Forks!!!Cleanliness: No cleanliness issues. 3.5 Forks!!!.Service: Service is very quick and cordial. Four Forks!!!!Quality of Food: Everything I have eaten here appears to be from scratch and is very good! I really like their yeast rolls. Four Forks!!!!Value: This is where Parker’s really shines. You can still get a meat and two vegetables for $5.00. 4.5 Forks!!!!.Final Score: 3.7 Forks….Very Good!
Best Fried Bologna Sand in Town…!!!. Been here a few times now and must say that the breakfast here is superb. Starting out with a big fresh cathead bisquit… very, very good. And the gravy is absolutely from scratch and it is also a winner. Then comes the staff… very polite and professional. Place is very clean and well run. Always see the same faces and everyone seems to know all the names…. so its a place full of regulars. Put this place on your places to visit and you won’t be dissappointed…
Delicious southern home cooking!! So worth it. Try the banana pudding too!
