Given the number of negative reviews lately, we were reluctant to try this restaurant. But we were in the area anyhow and decided to give it a shot. I would say to those who posted recent reviews that someone may now be paying attention to the issues that you mentioned. The hostess was pleasant and polite, our waitress, Chelsea, was friendly and very attentive. If there was a rude/unreasonable owner or manager on site, he or she wasn’t visible. Our food came quickly and beverage reorders were promptly handled as well. The dining area and the men’s room were clean. The pork was tasty and plentiful butdry when compared to other bbq restaurants around town. The same is true of the 1/4 chicken. The fries were fine. The potato salad was relatively tasteless except for mayo and potato. The coleslaw was dry. A variety of sauces were on the table, and included mustard, vinegar, sweet, and spicy (also vinegar-based). I really believe that if the owner were to find a way to keep the pork and chicken from being so much drier than the competition, more of us would be returning. I’ll wait, and watch the reviews before going back.

I have eaten BBQ all over the country and have been living here in Ga. For over ten years. In my humble opinion based on the dozen times we’ve eaten at the Woodstock location and NEVER once been disappointed in either quality or taste of food. It’s a wee bit pricey for BBQ. The service there can however be iffy and I’d agree with a previous reviewer in that the restaurant could use better management. NO MORE Sonnys for us.
Brunswick stew!. The staff is always very nice and they are great about drink refills. I always just get the Brunswick stew which is very tasty. The only downside for me is no pulled chicken. ..
Not bad. The sauce could be better but the pulled pork is actually good. The baked beans are too. The coleslaw not so much. Good value too.
