Huge portions and decent food! If your after a light meal here Id even suggest sharing one dish between two. We ordered the vegetable omelet with fried potatoes and the most requested fresh whipped banana pancakes. The omelet wasnt anything special but just a good classic option – what youd expect. The fried potato was a nice side to the dish. The pancakes were huge! And theres 5 of them too – thick, fluffy and not too sweet. With a extremely generous mountain of whipped cream in the middle and fresh banana its all a bit much for one person! The pancakes were a little dry due to the size of them but that is quickly solved with the syrup options they have on the table – classic maple, coconut and guava. Service is great and although theres a bit of a wait for a table its still a place you have to check off your list.

I’ve known of these restaurants forever but just never went. My parents mentioned it over 20 years ago as they knew the owner and what a good person he was and all the great things he did for the community. It seems it was sold/transferred to someone new 10 or so years ago… All that history aside I was disappointed with our waffles. Seemed overpriced and while covered under a mountain of whip cream really looks great the waffles were rubbery, not crisp and lacking flavor. We will try another time and hope for something better…
