Had Teriyaki burger and can recommend that, super nice staff. the place is awsome for vegetarians. fast service and resonable price. vegan options is a plus.
Good food. Ok service. Lots of young people with tattoos ordering delicious custom cocktails and craft beers. Their deep fryer was broken so we’ll have to go again. The quesadilla and everything with avocados was delicious. The brownie ice cream was also great and enough for 2-4 people.
Downbeat diner and lounge. Yay, a new place to eat, hang out, chat and drink coffee on Hotel St. in Chinatown. They are brand new in 2011 so we need to give them time to perfect a menu consisting of mainly sandwiches and fries with vegan alternatives. The deserts (cheesecake, red velvet cake and apple fritters) are real good and big enough for three people. The coffee was great. We loved the choice and variety of music played in the room as well as classic favorite movies running silently on big screen TVs which, like Downbeat’s original seat cover graphics of famous entertainers – should keep you and friends engaged in fun trivia discussions. Sorry, but they do need to crisp up the french fries a bit more. The staff explaining how well they are made does not compensate for cold, limp fries!
