Sunday late morning, and we arrived at Ginger and Garlic to a bit of a line-up. Luckily, we didnt have to wait too long for a table of five. I thought the food was tasty though the service was a little off; the same cart came around a few times; there were various dishes that had sold out already (char siu bau) and the shrimp dumplings (har gau) took ages to arrive. Passed up having a Gin Dui, which were the largest Ive ever seen! Egg tarts were delicious, very flaky pastry. The various other dumplings and chicken feet and sticky rice were all good; the taro dumplings were the standout though. The taro was super light (it can be heavy) as was the batter (which can be greasy). A solid, good experience. andyquan.com
