I have been to about 30 different GB’s in my life, including this one several times. This particular location has pretty lousy service and the food isn’t spectacular. Nationally though, a great restaurant.
Great food, open air. I was hesitant to try this resto given some of the poor reviews, but I’m glad we went. It’s huge, it’s in a mostly deserted plaza at the Aloha Tower, but it’s got a great menu, is mostly set in the open air near the water and we were very happy with our food. I got a gourmet grilled cheese with garlic fries, he got a BBQ chicken burger with house made BBQ sauce (which is some of the best sauce I’ve had). Food was delish. Service was prompt, polite and friendly. Value was good. Would definitely go back.
Juicy Burgers and great beer with an ocean view next to Aloha Tower what’s not to love?
Good restaurant at aloha Tower. I love this place because they have some of the freshest beer in all of Hawaii. The brewmaster is very smart and good at his craft. The food is okay and certainly better than what you will get it hooters which is also located in the same general area. I only have one problem ever eating here. I had so much beer on one occasion I accidentally tipped the waitress $150 instead of $15. I didn’t notice at the time but when I got my credit card bill I was a little shocked. Sometimes I think that they should have pointed that out to me. That has more to do with the waitress than the establishment. When the brewmaster found out what happened to me, he gave me a four hour brewery tour. The tour normally takes 15 minutes. This man was so gracious he allowed me to watch him craft a beer from scratch. The manager then allowed me to have a few beers at the bar. All and all they were very professional about the situation. They even gave me a coupon for a free dinner for two. So that being said I highly recommend this establishment.
Good beer. I was all guinnessed out, it being st. Patty’s day and all, and got a little crowded. My friends and I came down here to escape the madness, and to our surprise, we were told that any food would take an hour. Ok fine, what else what you expect on a Saturday night at 9 or 10? We rolled the dice and really lucked out because there was limited seating, a gentleman gave us his table. The server seemed annoyed that we just sat down, but nobody really gave it a second thought since we weren’t going to stand. We just focused on the appetizers, and ended up ordering a pizza. It didn’t take that long, as we’re having great times chatting. Pizza was excellent, and pretty reasonable as far as price was concerned. The hefeweisen was spot on for having been brewed it Hawaii. If you have ever been to Germany, you would know that it is the worlds best beer, hands down; and this beer surely didn’t disappoint. Will be going back to sample other beers, and enjoy the view of the bay in daylight
Lobster bisque is incredible!!! Crispy artichoke hearts app was interesting and very good.
Time of bliss. It met the friend after an interval of 12 years and the time of bliss was spent by three people with gordon biersch of the aloha market. It was happiness that was not able to be done in Japan. It is already three years ago though can think like yesterday’s thing.
