Fantastic Asian cuisine, the food comes very fast & the staff is very friendly. I would highly recommend the mu-shu appetizer (or as a meal) as it is prepared table side and tastes great! Would definitely go again.
Great food, great service. Everything was phenomenal. If you want some great Chinese food while you in Honolulu this is this place to go….
Since hubby and I have been eating mostly Japanese and local foods in the past few days, we decided to try Chinese food and I chose this place based on reviews on Yelp. It was a fairly busy restaurant but we were seated right away, and there were diners of all races (so not just catering to a particular crowd). In terms of taste, it wasn’t bad but I’ve definitely had better. The flavors were somewhat traditional. Portions… holy molly. My honey walnut shrimp (something I crave for but not available back home)… $18.50 for 10 shrimp. Clams in black bean sauce? $16.95 for 10 clams, mind you they were huge in size. We filled up on the fried rice and steamed veggies. Our four dishes filled the two of us up (our son ate only a bowl of rice) only b/c we weren’t starving.Service was pretty decent but I think I will try a different Chinese restaurant next time. followmyfoodtrail.wordpress.com
Overpriced for the area. Small portions.
Why Did It Take So Long?. ….to find this place after having been on the island for a little over a year now!Volume to price ratio here is insane! I will not have to find dinners for myself for most of the week!I had the Chef’s special fried rice, and the missus had the Daun Daun Mein. The rice is amazing, with chunks of Peking duck, char siu, shrimp, and egg. The Daun Daun Mein, though good in its own way, was a little misleading. I was expecting quite a bit more peanut flavor like a Thai dish, but all in all a well executed dish. Beware though, it’s quite spicy. The Pork Mu Shu wraps were a thing of beauty, and you get a little bit of a show when the waitstaff come by to assemble them right before your eyes. To finish I had the Sweet Black Sundae, which is forbidden rice, coconut cream, and vanilla ice cream layered in a dish. Such a simple thing, and yet, so good. For all this food, we walked out of there paying less than 40 bucks including tip. Definately worth giving a chance. If you’re more than a party of 2 though, be prepared for a heck of a wait.
Really great. Gotta get the Mushu Pork Rolls as an appetizer. They were the best I’ve ever had!
Great Chinese. This was the only place we hit twice during our week long vacation. The honey walnut shrimp was incredible and my GF can’t stop talking about it (she had it both times). I had the Volcano Pork which was great and without any sauces, just garlic, ginger, chile and spices. The spicy Wonton soup and the Twice Cooked Pork also were perfect. Possibly the best Chinese food ever!?
