Doesn’t quite measure up.. Despite the many good reviews for some of their standard or go-to plates, we were sorely disappointed. We hadn’t been there in a couple of years, since their apparent renovation. There are probably a handful of items on their menu that they do well, but their mushroom pork chops is not one of them. For one thing, they only give you one scoop of rice. The tiny cup of corn niblets was stone cold. But worst of all, there was one thin-cut pork chop plus a piece underneath and the meat was as tough as shoe leather. It tasted as though it had freezer burn. I was hard-pressed to find the mushrooms and the gravy was a ghastly, white concoction with no flavor. Oh, and the tiny scoop of mac salad was tasteless. Whoever prepared the mushroom pork chops wasn’t doing the owner of Jurison’s a favor by serving up that dish. Some of the other items may be good, but you should pass on the pork chops. But then that’s just my opinion.
