The Worst. I was thrilled that the Windward side finally had an Indian restaurant; however that thrill was short lived. It is absolutely the worst Indian food on the island – bland and the naan was like rubber.
Not Impressed. Food was very bland. very dissappointed with the rice. was expecting more flavor.
Fish curry and naan. The coconut fish curry with the curried potatos was awesome. The naan is amazing too, hot right out of the oven.
Good food most of the time. My wife and I love Indian food, so we were thrilled when this joint opened up. Their food is usually pretty good, but producing consistently good food seems to be beyond their reach. Their naan and roti are great, and the lamb (when they have it) is always tasty. If they improve their quality control a little, this would be a fabulous place.
When you lie make it to believe. I was reading these two reviews about India Cafe which was written by LN in JUNE 10 2010. This person 1st wrote about India Cafe In Kailua saying he/she has been a fen of India cafe for yrs and enjoy it so much and at the same date the same person writs about India cafe Kapahulu and saying Never had Indian food before and now so happy to find this Indian restaurant. These both reviews deff was written by the owner and now I am thinking if a person so dishinest about his reviews how am I going to trust this restaurant with my food. PLEASE READ THIS TWO REVIEWS TO JUDGE BY YOURSELF.Hawaii reviewsIndia Cafe Kailua Curry Express Finally good Indian food in Kailua June 01, 2010 I have been a fan of India Cafe for years and am SO happy that they decided to open in Kailua. Even if it is only a take out spot, get plenty general seating outside to enjoy your meal. I love the inside of the place, so colorful and inviting. Having the bollywood music videos going while you order makes it a total experience. I found out they even have a real tandori oven to make fresh naan and chicken tikka…Great to take home to the family and the kids love the roti bread and chicken curry!! You gotta see the new spot, it is sooo worth it!! 2 people recommend this review Recommend | Not helpful India Cafe Da Best Indian Food I Ever Had! June 01, 2010 I had never tried Indian food before and was invited last week by a friend to have dinner there since it was one of her favorite spots in town to eat at. Well, it turns out I am a huge fan, at least at India Cafe. The chicken tikka and shrimp sambal were the best!! Cozy little spot, brought our own wine (highly recommend, tastes great with curry!). I must have had 4 pieces of roti bread with my dinner. The chai tea was the perfect ending to a great meal. I couldnt believe how much stuff they offered on the menu…meat curries, seafood curries, vegetarian curries, sweet or spicy curries, breads, desserts and a ton of different drinks…you have to try the lassi, its addicting. Definitely going to be a regular!! Recommend SHAME ON INDIA CAFE.

Quick , easy , cheap , and tasty Indian cuisine on the East side. Love the chicken curry with spicy eggplant for $8
