Wow!! This place rocks! From the outside it doesn’t look all that but the food is great. Decent portion sizes and worth coming in 🙂 leaving suitably stuffed!
Yummy in my tummy. We were staying in a vacation rental house nearby and read good reviews of this place. So my husband and I decided to try it out for lunch. The tamarind burger was amazing and so was the ahi burger. The patties were incredibly flavourful and juicy. The thai iced tea with condensed milk was so yummy that we came back that same night just to order it to go. We also got a slice of lilikoi cheesecake which was up there in one of the best cheesecakes I’ve eaten. My tummy was very happy that day.
Headed for B & K But Ended up at Uahi – yay!. We were informed at Boots and Kimo’s that there was a 1 1/2 hour wait for a table and we were way too hungry to wait that long. We walked about a half block and stumbled into Uahi’s. A small, quaint, lovely little restaurant. The staff were all very friendly. I ordered the Red Curry Grilled Fish and it was outstanding! My BF had a traditional type of breakfast and said it was pretty good. Never made it to Boots and Kimo’s during our visit but next time in town I think I’d have a hard time passing up another visit to Uahi.
Great Sunday brunch!. Out of tower and tried their Sunday brunch…was fabulous!!! Homemade fresh pineapple juice is amazing!!!
Excellent food and service. Don’t judge this book by the cover! We had the Ahi poke (made fresh on site) and seared ahi tuna salad. Both were super fresh and best quality ingredients. This will become a regular stop when we come to Oahu.
Not that great. Read all of the rave reviews and left disappointed. They changed the menu and didn’t have the much raved about Mahi Mahi with pesto anymore. They served edamame on the table while we waited, and it was cold and soggy. I ordered a Thai Iced coffee, which was very bitter and watered down. For entree I ordered the Ahi Poke which was so spicy i couldnt even finish it, and I like spicy food! My husband ordered the Kalua pig which was served on a bed of French fries and covered in onions, tomatoes, and melted cheese. The pork was very good, but the dish seemed very Americanized with all of the fries and cheddar cheese. We wanted to try traditional Hawaiian cuisine..this place wasnt it. We hoped the dessert would make up for it…we asked for another raved about item, the banana cream pie. They don’t serve it anymore! So we ordered the caramel coconut cream tart and it was cold and the pie crust was hard as a stone. It tasted like it had been made days before and stored in the fridge. Not good. On the plus side, service was very fast and friendly! I wouldn’t go back here or recommend this place though. The food just wasn’t good. C-
Not fancy but absolutely delicious. The Big Island beef steak was so tender and made to perfection medium rare. My husband had the fish (mahi mahi) red curry, just right spicy.
