Sheer Disappointment. I have lived in Ewa Beach for 8 years since moving from So. Cal. Being a long time Cali resident and aficionado of mexican cuisine, I thought when they opened it would be a breath of fresh air for Ewa. Ate there once shortly after they opened, was wholly underwhelmed. The meat had no flavor, the tortillas were hard, and not from cooking too long, the whole beans were just beans, no sabor, the rice was mediocre. Took it all with a grain of salt thinking perhaps they were still working out their style and flavor. Went back recently for a second chance because I was short on time and didnt want to drive to Aiea for my go to restaurant. FIrst off, greeted by the server/cashier and told to have a seat anywhere, which was nice even though there was only one table occupied at the time. I was never offered chips and salsa, although last time it came without asking, so I waited, and waited. Never came. I ordered a simple plate, three tacos, rice and beans. Two were to be carne asada and one was to be chicken. The carne asada tacos should have been advertised as Beef Jerky tacos, it was so dry and tasteless and I even cut the roof of my mouth with a piece. The chicken followed suit and was even more dry. Beans were the same, whole beans with some salt added in and a little cheese (not melted). I knew something was amiss when I got to the rice. It was clearly not only by taste but by smell, JASMINE RICE made into a very feeble attempt at spanish rice. Wondering to myself what had happened to the place that had promise, the cook steps out, an old Filipino lady?? WTH??? The owner was a nice older hispanic guy whose name escapes me at the moment but I began to wonder if he just gave up and sold it to the highest bidder. That explains the Jasmine Rice. Well needless to say, Ewa Beach still needs CPR when it comes to good sit down restaurants, especially Mexican. Thank goodness my go to place is coming to Kapolei!!! Thank you El Mariachi Mexican Restaurant for coming West! Cant wait!
Good service and pretty decent guacamole for the chips. The food itself is pretty bland but otherwise not bad. This place is really all about location; where else are you going to go in Ewa?
Excellent service. Food was reasonably priced and very satisfying. The flan was very good. This will be my stop for Mexican from now on.

Terrible. I’ve been to many Mexican restaurants and portions are huge and price very reasonable! This restaurant is a rip off! Not only small portions and expensive, but food bland. Not recommended. Rather go to Taco Bell.
Service was great but the food was very bland for what I am accustomed to in Mexican cuisine. Everything seemed watered down and the flavor was disguised with cheese. Taco Bell would have been a better option
