French Bakery, as rendered by Japanese Master Bakers. I love St. Germain–this location, and the one on Beretania. Their croissants shatter in the mouth, indicating good lamination of dough. The various breads, particularly french-style boulangerie, are amazing.Perhaps one of the best things about St. Germain Bakery is the kindness of their staff. Want a bit more mayonnaise on their french bread loaf sandwiches (spectacularly refreshing with iceberg lettuce, turkey, or ham)? No problem. Anything a patron could want, they will do.Incidentally, those french bread sandwiches–life-sustaining vittles inside true, yeasty baguette loaves–are one reason alone to go to St. Germain Bakery. That, and the heavenly orange chiffon cake.You cannot go wrong here.
