Nephew and niece think the pok here is even better than from Foodland. They took me here and we had pok with scoops of rice, as is the local style (but not the North American chain style, where you add lots of extra stuff on top of the bowl). I found my garlic pok very strong and a bit sweet; the shoyu pok was OK. I liked the spicy variety the best. Niece had pok katsu, which looks surprisingly like pork tonkatsu but of tuna, and with mayo and furikake (Japanese spice seasoning with seaweed), was tasty, as were the very crispy fries (with mayo and furikake). The use of so much throwaway materials at restaurants in Hawaii gives me a sad (especially the styrofoam containers here). But this place seems much loved by the locals. andyquan.com
