I’ve been to this Ninja sushi many times, I used to come to the mall just for a fresh maki prepared once ordered not cheap Safeway pre made sushi garbage. The last couple of weeks this Ninja sushi has taken a turn for the worst. I’ve given them the benefit of the doubt but three strikes your out. The sushi is no longer fresh, from the fish to the rice everything we have ordered is chewy and is to the brink of making you nauseous. What happened to this place and stuff being made when ordered not sitting out for three days waiting to be ordered in hopes to make a quick buck.
Not impressed. We did not have high expectations but even our low ones were not met. Salmon was not fresh – overall not very good.
Da bomb!. I liked there Soft shell crab tempura roll wow! I really liked it the best better than surprise Sansei sushi waikoloa queens market.Ninja’s was fresh tempura sanseis was not fresh it didnt have that crunch like ninja! Go Ninja Go. ONO SUSHI
Great Sushi=Mall? Yes!. I’ve been a fan of Ninja Sushi in Kaneohe for sometime now. The staff is always top notch, with the owner himself usually on shift making delicious sushi with a smile. The sushi options are enormous, so it helps to have an idea of what you like. Usually, the front staff are knowledgeable and able to help you determine what sushi you may like trying. I highly recommend the Tiger Maki, a roll with shrimp tempura, ahi, masago, spicy sauce and sesame seeds. It’s delicious! I’ve also fallen victim to their rather simple fried chicken rolls. It’s literally fried chicken strips inside of rice inside of nori. Not technically sushi but such a delicious combo. Recently the owner suggested I try their new scallop maki. It featured fresh, oven baked bay scallops in a creamy mayonaisse dressing over rice. Texturally speaking, this warm sushi was different, in a good way. I did find the mayonaisse overpowering, and will make sure to ask for less of it next time. All in all, if you are afraid that sushi in a mall couldn’t be good, trust that at Windward Mall, Ninja Sushi has you covered. It’s ono food for a great price!
