Anonymous. Very, very disappointed! I ordered fried Mahi with ogo salad, as a topping. Also included was scoop of rice and vegetable salad. The Mahi Mahi fish was the tail part of the fish, so it was all dark meat, not much meat and it did not smell or taste fresh. The ogo topping was skimpy. The skimpy vegetable salad was only iceberg lettuce that was old and brown. My husband had the Mahi burger, similar dark part of fish on a regular small hamburger bun. It was not a burger. Nothing special. Probably gone down hill since Noguchi left.

Mixed Review. The fried moi plate was good, but pricey. The teriyaki beef plate should be called yucky-aki beef plate – the beef was tough and covered with a heavy sauce similar to mobile oil. I had the Guava Chicken Burger and it was excellent. My husband had the Beef Stew special and the beef was so tender that it just melted in your mouth. Definitely recommend this place to anyone in the area.
Been there a million times. I have eaten many times at The Deli. The people who run the business are some of the nicest people I know in Hawaii. The food was always tasty. Comfort food, the kind that reminded you of awesome home-cooking. You could always sit on one of the tables out front and enjoy your meal before heading to the beach or the bay. Unfortunately, The Deli closed earlier this year. I will miss eating there, as I’m sure the locals will, too.
