Looked up this place cuz they had loco moco. We came to hawaii craving loco moco since the last time we had it in maui. They have different kinds to choose from: hamburger patty, chicken katsu, Portuguese sausage, shrimp, bacon. You can choose one item or three different ones, comes with 3 big scoops of rice, choose of egg and brown gravy. I got the chicken katsu one and the chicken was super crunchy and the gravy was flavour. The portion was massive and totally could have been shared. Food was great and will be back again!
The loco moco is too die for! I had mine with roast pork, most excellent. I mean just cart me off to heaven as soon as I have (possibly) finished the loco moco here. Beautiful! The waitstaff and manager are very friendly and exceedingly efficient. A great kama’aina place with excellent food at good solid prices. Do not miss this place but make sure you take your time here and have some fun. Hawaiian time…
This place is awesome. Stumbled on it & came back. Portions are huge & incredible. Teriyaki beef superb. Fish & chips are killer. Everything else equally great. Sometimes you have to wait to be seated, but that only means everyone else also loves this place. Don’t miss the coconut ice cream pie. Oh my. Service is great

Pros and cons. With high recommendations we decided that B.I.G. would be the place to go. There were other patrons in the restaurant, and that gave us hope for a decent dinner. We were seated right away, had great service and quick service. The food was alright, had some soup, certainly nothing special. The helping was massive! As we sat digesting the meal, we figured this would be the place to go for a well priced massive portion meal for someone with a never-ending appetite. Lingering after our meal, another few tables were served around us with the special. Looked like home cooking with meatloaf the size of a bread loaf. Then the smell became overwhelming and we booked it out of the restaurant as quickly as we could. I would not recommend B.I.G. unless you were looking to feed a group with big appetites without breaking your budget.
