Check in at Kona Airport for a night flight out and you have nothing to do for hours. To pass the time, try the restaurant. Mediocre food and expensive. It would be better to bring food with you.
Had shave ice on a nice day while waiting for the plane. Service good. Place clean. Ice was especially refreshing.
I had a Garden Burger (good) and my husband had the Portuguese Bean Soup (soup was only $6.00 and good). The airport has shops and plenty of seating, in a relaxed setting. You can also have a beer there.
Being an airport fast food restuarant, their menu is limited however, in addition to the normal burgers and sandwiches, they do offer pre-made salads.
We had to grab something for lunch before our flight home, and decided to check this place out. The service was very fast, and the gals were very kind. We had cheeseburgers, cokes, and chips. Everything was suprisingly very good. Glad we stopped here.
