We were looking for something different in Kona and found this place in the back of a strip mall. Much better than I had hoped. Excellent service and flavors at a very reasonable price for the area. Will be back!
Average at best. Their curry tastes too sweet. Also their summer rolls need improvement because they were falling apart and not filled with very many ingredients.
Location is a 30 min from waikoloa beac resort yet worth the drive. Restaurant design is average. Service is fast. The food is good portions are average. Till now I have ate at 5 restaurants in the Waikoloa resorts this one is by far the best in a fraction of the cost. All places I been to were just about $200 for 3 adults and one child this one was just about $80.
Original Thai is Closed on Monday Night, but…. We sought out and found the Original Thai Restaurant, but it was closed on Monday Nights (open most other days). But within 200 yards is Bangkok Thai, across the street. A cute little Thai restaurant that the food was hot and good. So if Original Thai is closed, try across the street. It is a gracious and delicious find.
Really clean, kid friendly (we have a 3 year old and 10mo old) and quick! The food was delicious and good prices
This is some of the most authentic Thai food I’ve had outside Thailand. Spicy, flavorful, and no baby corn or ketchup or other farang tricks. Only drawback is the lack of alcohol. But you can walk to the next parking lot and buy a growled of beer from the Kona brewery and they provide frosted glasses! Also, don’t let the scuzzy mall setting throw you off, the interior is perfectly nice.
