Terrible service, terrible food. We ran around looking for some good japanese food, and stumbled upon this hole in the wall. Sadly, we were disappointed. The service was very slow, and we were one of the first to arrive, yet got our food second last. The salmon teriyaki was bland, the sushi rice was hard and bland, and the table was a disgusting oil spill. When we complained about the rice, the owner was rude and unhelpful. Don’t go here, there’s got to be better places for sushi.
Top-secret, highest quality sushi with money left-over to come back for dinner!. Everyone knows Hawaii has good and fresh sushi. The question is, where do you go to avoid the tourist prices and the tourist quality. Seiji does not save the good stuff for the locals, he only serves the good stuff. It’s clearly is top priority. Having dined there twice this week, I feel like I found the top-secret gem of Hawaii. I don’t know how he keeps his prices so low, but for $10 you can have incredible Sashimi that will fill you up (lunch and dinner)! You will not be disappointed! And if you can’t decide what to order, give him your budget and he’ll prepare a beautiful spread which is always fun. Our server was a wonderful hostess as well! Definitely making this a must visit spot for friends and family. Lastly, I will recommend the Seiji Special Roll, freshest roll with the perfect amount of spice. Thank you!
Excellent, fresh sushi. Owner and sushi chef was professional chef in LA, Las Vegas and New York before opening this place. HIGHLY recommend. It is a little hole in the wall, and hard to find, but best sushi on the island. Don’t order from menu, ask him to make you what’s fresh, you’ll love it!
It is very authentic! The owner is Japanese and food is up to the local Japanese standard. I had the best miso soup there, very different from the pre-mixed stuff. Excellent choice for people who would appreciate authentic Japanese food.
