Sushi is ok and I find it a little too expensive.
First of all, the service was excellent. Prompt and polite. The food was very good as well. I had the land and sea combo with teriyaki chicken, a spicy tuna roll (which was large!) 4 pieces of nigiri, soup and a salad for $27. It really was too much food for one, and would be perfect to split for two moderate eaters. Now for my only beef – i had two glasses of Coke and it cost me $2.50 a piece. I really hate when restaurants do that. C’mon guys. Free refills, especially for mostly ice.
Has pretty good sushi! much better than anything else in kona! try the Hawaiian roll! nice atmosphere!
Awesome. Excellent fish extensive menu. Super nice server. Went for a birthday will go again
Best sushi in Kona! Fish was very fresh, service was efficient & friendly. Definitely a great find! Nigiri sushi was amazing comparable to Nigiri in Japan.
Best butterfish in town!!!. The butterfish and Chilean seabass are out of this world. If I could roll myself in either one of the sauces that cover these fish and have my boyfriend lick it off me, that would be the best fantasy come true ever. The food and service is excellent. What I do find funny though is that when sushi Kazu was open down the block, I always saw the shiono employees there. Hmmm?
The butterfish was good! However the sushi rolls were below average for the price! I would walk a bock to seji brew garden to get some authentic sushi!
