Great spot for lunch. The furikake Chicken and Mac salad was really good. The chicken was super crispy covered with sesame and seaweed seasoning. The rice could have used some sort of a sauce on it though. I had to add soy sauce to the rice.
So gooooood! My friend and I went there when they were about to close. They close at 7, not 8pm. Google was wrong! Anyways, we both got poke bowls and the portions were big! We were both so full after. And they were delicious!
Good poke, big serving, glad I tried it they’re definitely a locals-friendly gang and expect you to know how to order. Oh well! I’d recommend!
Great place, great people, great Poke. The best poke I’ve ever had (I had the Avo) and a fantastic macaroni salad. Will be back….soon.
Amazing is an understatement. I’m from Vancouver, Canada and thought I knew sashimi. Was I ever blown away. The freshness and flavor of the tuna is unmatched. While eating my meal the local fisherman was bringing in a fresh yellowfin, must’ve been atleast 150lbs. That’s how fresh the food is! Literally straight from the ocean to your plate! Do not hesitate to eat here the staff are just as good as the food! And make sure you grab the seaweed salad!
Perfection in Kailua-Kona, The Big Island. Umeke’s was recommended by a couple selling vegetables at the farmers’ market. When we arrived, a young woman leaving with take away told us that we were making a great choice. Five of us had such an amazing lunch that we are returning again today. We were the only tourists and the restaurant was very busy!! Very friendly and knowledgeable staff.
Staff was extremely friendly and offered free samples of each of their varieties of killer poke! After tasting, my girlfriend and I decided on Avo poke (avocado mix) and da sweet poke with two sides (seaweed salad and Mac). Unbelievably fresh and delicious! Would recommend this place to anyone.
