I came here and ordered a roll which I was really disappointed about. I was adventuring around the island myself and this restaurant came up as one of the best-it was not. It was not flavorful at all, the portion was extremely tiny, super expensive and I would not recommend this place to anyone.

Solid food in kona!. I spent the last month in Kona eating at every restaurant that didn’t look like I’d have to mortgage a kid to pay for the meal, and Wasabi’s has won my out as being a top pick in the Asian sushi cuisine. The food is great whether or not you like sushi or went for one of the other Japanese dishes. The criticism about the funky service is correct, with no rhyme or reason how the food got delivered, appetizer at the end of the meal, sushi before cooked dinners by ten to fifteen minutes, but everything we had was great tasting. If weird service doesn’t bother you I would highly recommend this place for the food alone.

What a difference a year makes, not necessarily for the better. Forgot my kids drink, delivered appetizers after main course, vegi tempura consisted of a several oily pieces of zucchini and two oily pieces of potato. The menu was minimal and the choices of sushi were limited. We so looked forward to returning after our visit last year and left very disappointed this year. Return? They have all my nopes.29 Dec, 2013I’m glad the other place a couple doors down couldn’t fit us in, I think we had a better meal. The service was spot on, the sake they poured was some of the tastiest I’ve been served. My Shrimp and vegi tempura was good. All fresh, light and crisp. Rice nice and sticky and the salad fresh. Finished off with a nice refreshing green tea ice cream. We left feeling satisfied.
