Still not welcome. I decided to give this place another chance after reading reviews. This time we made a reservation for 11:45. When we showed up on time we were told we would be seated shortly even though the place was mostly empty. At 12:25, we were seated (though only 2 other patrons came in). UNfortunately, the food was nothing special. We actually sent back some toro because of its fishy smell. This second trip (shame on us) was the last try. I feel that being Caucasian was our only offense since it was obvious the Asian patrons received far better and friendlier service.18 Aug, 2014JohnL. Entered restaurant just after opening hour. Less then half full but lady so no seats without reservation so we left. Ocean Sushi around corner friendlier and fast service, good quality.
This place is wonderful. We stopped by late, yet even though they had a party coming in an hour, they still seated us. We were treated with utmost courtesy, and the sushi was AMAZING. By far, the best tuna we’ve ever had (and we’ve had sushi all over the US, including Morimoto’s in NYC). The decor is adorable, the facility is spotlessly clean, and in short, we can’t recommend it enough.
