Da Best Mochi!. These folks make the best mochi on the planet. I get their variety pack at KTA and my kids go nuts over it. I have to ration it out to them. Each kind has a slightly different texture, taste and filling. They are all incredibly delicious…like little pillows of sweet heaven.
Strawberry mochi should not be missed. The biggest most delicious strawberry you have ever seen with sweet bean wrapped in soft fresh mochi. Yum. A must have when in Hilo.
If you like Strawberries…. The strawberry mochi is a meal! Huge berries from California (maybe once day they will use Big Island berries) inside a sweet bean paste that tastes like chocolate wrapped in velvety warm mochi. a picnic in your mouth. You can get their other mochi at KTA. Or there, in their shop. Love their hours too – randomly open after hours.
Tucked in a non-descript building on a non-descript street, Two Ladies Kitchen offers a large variety of Mochi balls. If you’re lucky enough to make early enough on a day when fresh strawberries Mochis are available… Don’t hesitate! They are pricey but well worth every cent. If I’d known I would have bought more.
