One night we hop on TheBus to Pier 38 to try Nicos seafood restaurant. It almost feels like sitting at the Sydney fish markets. By day you order at the counter and take a number, but at night its table service. Lots of fresh seafood at good prices. I saw a ahi poke sampler on the menu and ordered it, for a sampler it was huge. The clams and tuna steak are nicely done but the battered fish is a winner with a very thin and crispy batter and beautifully cooked fish. The atmosphere was nice, service was great but the food didn’t meet expectations. The swordfish was bland, not quite sure what the burger was made of, but it didn’t taste like cow.

I really enjoy coming here ever time I come to Hawaii. The ahi poke is great!!! Go to just relax! The bar is a 5/5 but the bartender sucked so I gave it 4/5…..
I saw this place on Triple D and I knew I would be going to Honolulu for a day, so my parents and went here for lunch. The food, atmosphere, and customer service was all excellent!! We all highly enjoyed our lunch choices and then we had to sample some dessert as well. I had 5 wave chocolate cake that had dark chocolate in it. My mom enjoyed the creme brle cheesecake and my dad had the red velvet cake that had chocolate ganache in between the layers. All of the desserts were on the rich side so you might want to share unless you are not into sharing then go for it! I recommend this place for lunch because it is half the price of dinner, either you are sure to enjoy it!
Fantastic food, great atmosphere (e.g., clean, outside dining, live music, . . . ). The location is a bit off the beaten path, but that’s what you get with fresh seafood and very reasonable prices.
Everything my husband and I had was delicious. Started with the ahi poke. It was fresh and so tasty. The steamed clams was simple delicious and satisfying. And the fish and chips was perfect. The batter was light and crispy and the fish was moist and amazing.
