This place has a lot of different kinds of fish dishes and usually a special of the day. You can’t go wrong with the poke tower and fish tacos.

We love uncles! Okay it can create a big dent in your wallet but for a nice business lunch meeting its perfect. Food is consistent and fresh. We always get the clam appetizer and poke sampler. The lunch time soup and tuna sandwich is a good deal of you are on a budget. Parking is easy and it’s we love the causal retro fisherman decor.

Good & bad. Loved the atmosphere by the docks. We both had a Uncle’s Combo Platter. The shrimp was very good and large. The calamari steak was very tender and delicious. But the fish – Opaku paku was so terrible neither one of us could eat it. Had a very strong taste to it and, normally, I love this variety of fish when I visit Hawaii – not this time. The drink I ordered was a type of mojito with tequila. Hands down the worst cocktail I ever tasted. I can usually drink even part of a bad cocktail but this was just not drinkable. The waitress did not charge us for the drink and that was a good gesture.

Took the wife to the fish village for a nice seafood dinner. We planned on going to Nico’s, but after seeing the menu we learned we had a choice of ahi, ahi, or ahi. We left and went across the street to Uncle’s. SCORE!! Huge selection of seafood, all with very delicious sounding preparations. Costs about 7 more dollars per plate than Nico’s. I’m sure Nico’s is good, but after living on the island for about two years, I’m tired of ahi.

The three Poke was a good selection for appetizer if you like raw tuna. We also had the garlic ahi with capwrs…delicious. Dessert we went with thr japanese cheescake. not exactly what you might think but it was light after a big meal.
