If we had decided not to come here for dinner based on a few negative reviews we would have missed a phenominal meal! We tried the pork belly and a half portion of the grilled mahi mahi as well as a couple of really great sushi rolls and were FAR from disappointed. The service was friendly and efficient and the view at sunset was amazing! This was a return visit and we were just as impressed. Top notch food!
Breathtaking view of the beach. Service and waiters are spot on. Tables are spread out and atmosphere is absolutely beautiful. The outdoor dinning is out of this world. You eat while watching a glorious sunset. NOTHING CAN COMPARE TO THIS. The food is sensational and we definitely enjoyed our night. The price was acceptable comparing it to other resteraunts in Lahaina. Best Japanese resteraunt in Hawaii!
Excellent food, excellent service, breathtaking view!
Me and my husband came here on the last night of our honeymoon and were skeptical because of the mixed reviews. We absolutely loved it! Our reservation was at 8:15 but we came early to get a couple drinks at the bar. When we arrived we were sat right away. We ordered the edamame, salmon sushi, blackened ahi roll, and eel & avocado roll. The salmon sushi was amazing. We couldn’t believe how fresh all of the fish was. It is worth every penny. We would reccomend this place to anyone looking for fresh sushi with a great view!
JAPANGO. Not even the view could make up for the poor service and over cooked cold fish dishes. Yikes!
Food is good, but very overpriced. 140 bucks for 3 orders of sushi rolls and 1 order of fried rice. No better quality than some of the local asian takeouts. However atmosphere and views breathtaking.
We visited for the first time and enjoyed one of our best meals ever. Our waitress, Sheri, was friendly, informative and made our evening even more enjoyable. The sushi was artistic and delicious. The portions are generous. A must-return when we visit maui next year.
