This is obviously a Local’s Place. We were dressed as tourists and were treated great! The three of us all tried different lunch items. 3-for3 everything was very good. The portions were very gererious. Loco Moco was our favorite, followed by teriyaki chicken & MahiMahi. This place is very casual, friendly with very good food. We will be back!

This is true Hawaii!! The place is a shack but the food is great and super, super cheap! hukilau burger was awesome!

Lame!. Drove all the way from the south side of the island to try this place and hit a little traffic on the way. Place closes at 3pm got there at 2:45 to find that they have already closed. I can understand that it was almost closing, but we would have took the food to go if we had too. I don’t think this place likes to make money.

Loved this place!! Very friendly service, made me feel like a regular. Had the loco moco, good, generous portion.

What I liked about Hawaii. Did these reviewers go to the same place I saw? There can be waits, but that is because it is so good. Just put your name on the list. I absolutely loved this place. It is small, rustic, extremely friendly, and huge servings of great food. If I lived on the North Shore, I would be returning there over and over again.

I guess you definately gotta be a local to enjoy this place. Yes it’s small but the food is ono. Local people like to eat here & it is always busy. I think the workers are friendly. If u eat there for breakfast, the omlets are good, you can choose what u want. Lunch, they have a lot of ono stuff. The roast pork is good. I like that they have specials for lunch that change. When they have their Hawaiian plate as their special, make sure u get that.

Not worth it. This is a really small place with maybe 6 tables. Which wouldn’t be a problem if they put guests on a waiting list. Instead they go out of their way to ignore anyone that walks in and only bother to look at you when they want to make you feel like a jerk. To top it off this is NOT the place in 50 First Dates. Maybe the name is the same, but that’s it. Keep your cash – since they won’t take anything else and go to Ted’s Bakery instead.
