This place is a must for anyone visiting Laie. We had the garlic shrimp and the ribs… both were mouthwateringly delicious. Clean and friendly. Outside eating only, cash only, no smoking/drinking, and closed on Sunday. Rita is delightful.
So good shrimp. Way better than Giovanni and is NextTo it. They cook it fresh and the shrimp are larger. So juicy!
Garlic Shrimp Plate = YUM. Got the garlic shrimp plate here, and it was delicious! The only thing that bugged me was the difficulty of having to peel them, but the shrimp still retained the flavor when peeled. However, hubby tried the teriyaki dish here, and was not impressed at all. He wanted to try the pounder initially, but they had sold out. So- go for garlic shrimp, AVOID the teriyaki dishes.
This place is AMAZING!!!! Not only is the garlic shrimp plate fantastic, the owner is one of the nicest people I’ve ever had the opportunity to meet. I was with a large group, and since he knew we were coming in advance he even made us a delicious chocolate coconut sheet cake! He also explained the different charitable things they do to help the community- like feeding the elderly and putting on dinners on holidays. Next time I go to Turtle Bay I will be making a stop here!
Amazing!. So sad to have found this place on the last day of holidays, although I would seriously contemplate coming back to Oahu just to eat here again. Delicious food, the homemade bread was fantastic, and the shrimp were better than any of the shrimp trucks we tried. Amazingly warm and genuine service. Highly recommend this place!
