We’ve been here for lunch twice in two days and Id go again tomorrow if they were open on Monday. It’s only a ten minute drive from Poipu so if you are staying there, consider the drive. We’ve had their burger, BLTS (with huge chunks of fresh avocado added), tomato basil soup and it was all absolutely fresh and delicious. Both times we had a fresh greens salad with one of their homemade dressings and it was outstanding. We thought the prices were fantastic and in line or more affordable than some other lunches on the island, for the quality and quantity of food here! I need to go back to try that Coconut Cake in their pastry case that I’ve been drooling over…
Food itself wasn’t bad but unless you like to start your day fighting people for your table and dealing with rude staff and patrons I wouldn’t recommend it. The seating is open and limited and the staff do not aid you in any way. Their whole process is unorganized and chaotic.The final insult was when they refused to give my wife a paper cup to put her coffee in to take it with her. They said she would have to stay there to finish it!There are too many good places to eat with friendly staff and a positive atmosphere.
Can’t go wrong here!. Excellent food, amazing coffee and really no flaws to be found at all. If you are looking for breakfast on Kauai, you cannot do any better than the Kalaheo Cafe!
Fabulous pastries and decent coffee & espresso. My family shared an apple berry cobbler, chocolate espresso cream cheese scone, pumpkin pie, macadamia nut cookie, and chocolate chip cookie. All were amazing and worth the visit. And looking around at the breakfast dishes at neighboring tables made us want to come back another day to try the breakfast plates. A very popular place on a Sunday morning, but we were able to find a seat outside immediately after ordering at the counter. We’ll be back!
We stayed at a condo in kalaheo and this cafe was within easy walking distance. Easily one of the best restaurants we ate at during our stay. The French toast, breakfast burrito, and chocolate mac nut muffin were all delicious. Great variety and very popular with all patrons. Outside seating was very comfortable. Get in early or all the best pastries will be gone!
Loved this place. Creative tasty food. Nice local feel. Would eat here every day if it was near our home.
