Great food with sticker shock. Service was very good. Food tasted great and drinks were strong. Ambiance is lacking for the price of the food. Right on the street, no views, restaurant and decor needs major overhaul. Happy hour cocktails only $1 off regular menu price ($9). They were out of the mahi mahi when we arrived for dinner. Overall, enjoyed the experience and had a good time. Prices just seemed a little too inflated (Fish & Chips $25, Ribeye $35, most everything over $30).

We ordered the pork off the menu and the blackened ahi special. Each dish was around $35. The pork was so overcooked that we could only eat a very small piece. The tuna was also overcooked. The vegetables that came with the dishes were ok but unimaginative. The service started well but when we told her that the pork was inedible, she said she was sorry and would tell the cook. We were still charged full price. The restaurant decore is very plain. Would not recommend this place to anyone.
Best meal I have had in a long time. Entire group of six agreed. You cannot miss this place when visiting Kauai.
Great food – cocktails were not good. Had the Mahi Mahi last night and the fish was cooked perfectly. It was plated in a Thai green curry and the presentation and flavors were great. Others at our table had the Ahi, and the beef filet and all were pleased. The cocktails on the other hand left something to be desired across the board.
The freshest ingredients handled with a delicate balance of distance while still making sure the sauces and combinations are creative. The Ahi poke is astonishing. Potato salad on the side for lunch is great. Cocktails are all big (can be a pro or con). Best place we ate while on Kauai. Lovely music at night.
My husband and I had dinner here on our first night on Kauai and went back two more time with friends during our week long stay! The owner was friendly and very welcoming on all occasions and the service was great! The menu wasn’t very extensive, but I guess when you know what you’re doing you don’t have to have page upon page of food items! We had ahi sashimi and poke and the fish was always fresh and melt in your mouth delicious! The filet was prepared perfectly (pink and juicy in the center) with an amazing reduction. The dessert list was simple, consisting of lilikoi cheesecake, coconut lemongrass creme brle, papaya bread pudding and our favorite, the flourless chocolate cake with ice cream-rich and smooth. Definitely worth a trip out to Old Town Kapaa for this little gem!
