This restaurant is completely worth the drive to Hawi. The people were the kindest people. I would recommend the bombay roll. Best sushi ever.
Incredible fusion sushi which rocks.. This place rocks! They marry some local ingredients into their suchi which results in a very unique and tantalizing sushi that rock you..Highly recommend this place.
Nice people , great food , fresh and seemed to really care
Hands down the best restaurant of our stay on this island. It was our oldest son’s first time eating sushi, and he loved his maki roll. He even ordered seconds. My husband ordered the special of the day–a South of the Border roll with ono, avocado, ceviche, rice, and mango salsa. Very different for the purist, but excellent just the same. They also have traditional sushi. My younger son and I don’t like sushi, but we had wonderful meals. Son had teriyaki chicken and rice. Teriyaki sauce is homemade and incredible. I had a Mac nut chevre salad with teriyaki chicken added. Absolutely delicious. Dessert and drinks, too, great. Highly recommended. Sorry we went on a our last night and couldn’t go again.
Hell Yeah!. This place is awesome. The owner is an extremely nice/dedicated dude who knows exactly what he’s talking about.Instead of ordering entrees, we let him pick everything and keep bringing us out plates of Sushi. The food quality was through the roof, probably the very best Sushi I’ve ever had in my life. Everything was perfect. We ordered drinks too, Lavender Martinis. They were awesome as well.Overall, it was a totally awesome dining experience. I know food, I’ve worked in restaurants for years and this place has it down.
One of the best sushi places I have been. Must try Pele’s Revenge! Then go to the grocery store down the way and get some Hawaiian Peppers for later. 🙂
Lime in the Coconut and Eat it all Up. We were in Hawaii to celebrate Ed’s 50 something birthday and my daughter’s 30th. This was my daughter’s choice and it was good! She and Ed had a variety of sushi and her fiance had the sandwich while I had the lime in the coconut fish. The salad with goat cheese was amazing, we loved the Sangria, the sushi was beautiful and I hear fabulous, the fish was excellent and desert..ohmigosh..flourless chocolate cake and cheesecake to share. Great atmosphere, Peter is fabulous, food was wonderful…all in all a wonderful birthday dinner.
