Delicious! Friendly staff and tasty breakfast! Try the pork hash… Fantastic
Exceptional Scones & Cakes. Love the scones. We ordered a Carrot Cake for our mom’s birthday and it was the best we ever had. 23 people had a piece and there was non left at the end! Best Carrot Cake Ever. Staff was awesome too. Highly recommend the stop coming down off Diamond Head.
Scones are not scones. We went to Daimond Head Market Grill because we heard the scones were outstanding. We purchased a blueberry cheesecake scone and a slice of strawberry cheesecake. the counter folk, as predicted by other posters, was not very friendly (I’m constantly surprised by the lack of aloha at Mom and Pop shops here). The cheesecake was OK. Not great, but at $4.00, it was worth it. However, the scone was very disappointing. It was not a scone, but a flat muffin. for some reason it is very difficult to find real scones on Oahu. perhaps the bakers and their customers don’t know what a scone really is, or the bakers are satisfied with an approximation and don’t really try. What ever the case, if you are a scone lover, don’t get them at this place. if however, you like muffins, come here and by the scones.
The petulant staff belongs on Hell’s Kitchen with Gordon Ramsey as fodder.16 Feb, 2011This place lost it. Don’t Go!20 Nov, 2010Avoid this place.. Go for the Burgeritos & fish tacos at South Shore Grill one block south, same side of Monsarrat, or Bogart’s one block south for breakfast. Seriously. The Diamond Head Grill cashiers and kitchen staff are so rude, I’m afraid they spit in the food.
The food here was very good. My husband had the Ahi sandwich and I had the Ahi salad with a side of mac/potato salad. The service could be better, but we only had problems with the cashier at the grill. The girl at in the bakery was actually very nice. I agree with everyone that the scones were absolutely delicious!
Unfortunately agree. Agree the food is very good…but also agree unfortunately that there is bad attitude behind the counter — both at the grill window and in the deli. Let’s have them take a class in the Aloha Spirit. I hope these are the people who are the owners, otherwise the owners are getting a bad rep from employees’ ‘ crabby personalities.
Great food, loudness counter help with bad attitude. Don’t like to answer the phone and act like you are doing them a favor. Dump the help and it might be a decent place to eat. Food is good!
