Went here for happy hour and had a Mai Tai and some food. The slider burgers were amazing and so was their Mai Tai. Great location and views. Not cheap but worth popping in and experiencing. If you can’t get in for dinner, pop in at least for a drink outside.
The food here was excellent! Best we have had on the island so far. We ordered the mahi mahi and monchong, both were well prepared and super flavourful! We had actually ordered the monchong at kimos a few nights before, this one was 10x better! We also had the sharing platter of appetizers – it was just ok, very small portions but I loved the quesadilla
Great Wedding and Great Meal. My mom and stepfather had their wedding here in July. What an amazing backdrop for a beautiful ceremony and reception! The view of the sunset from the patio and restaurant are to die for! During the cocktail hour, the prime rib and applewood bacon sliders were served, my boyfriend and brother were blown away by the quality of an appetizer that usually is greasy and over salted. There were 2 entre options for the dinner portion of the wedding, along with a green salad starter and dessert. I opted for the macadamia nut crusted monchong for my entree and I still think about that meal, it was so delicious. Lightly crusted and still moist and buttery. I tried a bit of my partner’s peppercorn ribeye and it was melt in your mouth delicious as well. The dessert served was the pineapple and macadamia nut brioche. Just the right amount of delicate sweetness. Thank you Merriman’s for helping my parents have such a flawless and memorable wedding day! Next time we are in Maui, we will certainly be returning.
Great Experience… Better than expected!!. My wife and I went to Merriman’s for our anniversary last Saturday and had a great time! Everything about this restaurant is fantastic from the staff to the food to the incredible location. It is such a great place to have dinner or just hang out at the bar, or outside on the patio to watch the sunset. Truly this is one of the best restaurant settings I have ever been in and I have a lot to compare it to. I can’t say enough about Merriman’s honestly. If you are fortunate enough to be on Maui and have a chance to go, do it… you will not be disappointed.
My husband and I decided to try out their Happy Hour and Merriman’s did not disappoint at. The setting was just amazing and the waiter was very helpful and courteous. We ordered the Mai Tai special and it did not disappoint (fairly potent)! We also ordered a side of Parmesan Truffle Fries…my new addiction!!! If you happen to be in the area or want to make up for the murky Mai Tai at The SeaHouse, check out Merriman’s next door! On our last day on Maui, I am going to request going back there for drinks because they have live music after 5PM and they have different types of Mai Tai’s, depending on the rum they use.
My husband and I ejoyed everthing about Merriman’s. The view was spectacular at sunset, the food was excellent and the sevice was superior. The live entertainment and the ambiance were so relaxing. We dined twice while vacationing but recommend everyone make it a point to get there at least once whiile in Maui.
We (my husband and I) love this restaurant. Owning a restaurant ourselves, this is such an amazing establishment with such creative EVERYTHING! it is very hard to impress my husband as he himself is a chef. But we are so impressed we are going I try to get another reservation tomorrow! And we were just there yesterday. Low on time, here for our anniversary week. Great wine list as well. Wow! Just wow!
